The soul, woven
into every thread.
Nefs is the breath of a garment — the quiet life it carries from the hands that made it to the woman who wears it.
The meaning of abhaya.
The abaya is a vessel of grace. For centuries, the women of Arabia have worn the abhaya not as concealment, but as composition — a silent architecture of dignity, lineage, and intention.
At Nefs we honour this language. Our pieces are designed to drape without pulling, to move without rushing, and to age into a quiet heirloom rather than a moment of fashion.
العباية is at once a robe, a poem and an inheritance.

The Craft
Zardozi
Zardozi — from zar (gold) and dozi (sewing) — is the centuries-old art of laying metallic thread onto silk by hand. A single Nefs sleeve may hold 60 hours of needlework.
Our master karigars work in natural light, in the same rhythm their grandmothers kept. Nothing is automated. Nothing is rushed.
01
Slow cloth
Mulberry silk, Italian wool blends and hand-loomed crepes — selected for how they fall, not how fast they ship.
02
One hand
Each piece is cut, sewn and embroidered by a single artisan. Their initial is stitched into the inside seam.
03
Quiet luxury
We make in small numbers. The atelier holds, at most, twelve pieces of any silhouette in a season.
